My tentative Schedule

Schedules and plans are a funny thing... I thought I was moving yesterday but NOPE. Able movers had a different plan and I am now surrounded by men emptying out my apt. and speaking in rapid spanish. Seems appropriate but I have no clue what they are saying and it does not sound good.. Hopefully, that will change by May. With that in mind, the schedule below is a work in progress and will be changing as I figure out how good I am at budget travel and leaving my pricey habits behind. I have my tickets booked thru May so those trips are pretty firm but summer in Europe, late summer/fall in US and ASIA, AUSTRALIA portions are still in planning. Would love to meet up with people during my travels so if you will or could be in the area just let me know.
Guatemala is just a short trip from Costa Rica or Belize so if anyone wants to meet up for a long weekend in March or April just let me know. I am game. So many places endless time.

I finally bought the dreaded backpack( turquoise and way too pricey considering the asethic appeal). A professional backpacker, 50 yr old man who teaches at Uof W(madison) and is on the road living out of a backpack over 100 days a year insisted this Ospre

Other REI purchases included 2 water bottles(SIGG...super cute and fun) and a travel UV water purifier( not sure if I believe it really works but will test in Guat and Mexico and see if I become ill. YES...shocking but true I am going to try and reduce my consumption of bottled water. After 14 years of 2L a day it could be the most challenging thing I do all year long but the reports of bottled water and plastic bags impact on the enviroment are killing me.
