I believe that a modern philosopher is Oprah Winfrey.She is a modern philosopher because she always is trying to help someone or change someone's life. One person she has been trying to help is Lindsay Lohan. She interviewed her about her cocaine addiction and Oprah suggested Lindsay what to do and gave her advice. She is also very influential because she is a powerful woman. This also makes her as one of the most respected people. She was also influential because of her past. She was abuse by some of her relatives when she was a teenager. When she entered the media she was judged by her looks, but she didn't let that bother her and in the end she became successful. Also, she said a lot of philosophies about anything like success,women, life, and dreams. I think she gets these ideas from her past experience.
