Question: What type of music are popular in Jamaica?



Reggae is a world wide music genre that originated from Jamaica. Jamaica's genre reggae has changed , and emerged into traditional reggae with African ,and Black American roots. Another genre that is well known would be Christian music similar Reggae. Also jazz is very well known in the island along with Rock steady, Ska, Mento, Dub, and a most newer ones called Ragga and dancehall.

Jamaica is the founder of Reggae, and also with music there has to be dancing involved. There are about 30 different dances in Jamaica. Also how it plays a huge role in culture. In addition how its known for its woodwork, furniture, and metalwork. Also with that pottery is also known in the island such as things like sewing, embroidery, and bead making. Also on how the cuisine is very unique because all the Jamaican cuisines have influence of Spanish ,European, African, Chinese , and East Indian. That is very diverse food source I am pretty sure its tasty knowing its like 5 different foods in one.
