Question:What role do women play in this society? Do they have equality? If not, what discrimination do women in this country face?



In Great Britain the familial structure is beginning to look like more single parented mothers along with women having more divorces , and children I there late thirties. Also the average people living in houses in Great Britain is 2 people. Talks about how the economic rates between men are 85 to 90 percent along with women who are 70 percent are economically active meaning they have jobs or have some way of making money. Also 47 percent of married couples have only one child.



This article shows how throughout time women's position towards getting careers are beginning to get more equal. The reason is because women are likely to get pregnant in there thirties and still manage to have a relationship and have a equal paying job, however it is very hard to keep up with life by being a mother and having a career. with the roles of women being said towards men the opposite is occurring. Since women are getting more jobs about 58 percent of men have become more domestic meaning are staying home more ,and duties of men and women basically have flipped. Also women do face a lot of discrimination such as 48 percent of women thought there chances of moving further in career couldn't occur because of becoming a mother. Also 27 percent of women who just had there baby felt pressured to go back to work earlier.
