1. This story is about how an eight-story building housing five garment factories collapsed in India that killed over 1,100 people. Because of this disaster, the Bangladesh's government agreed to allow country's garment workers to form trade unions without permission from factory owners. Also, the government planned to raise the minimum wage for garment workers, who are paid in some of the lowest wages in the world.

2. The rights that are upheld towards the garment workers is the right to form trade unions without the permission from factory owners. Factory owners would never let garment workers form trade unions without their permission because they believed that they would lead to a lack of discipline among workers.

3. Garment workers should write a letter to the government saying that factory owners are not following the law that was made. Also, garment workers should rebel towards the factory owners to get their rights back.
