Question: Do you think a government should be responsible for abiding by the commitments that its predecessors made? Defend your answer.

The tribe nations, which involved the Native Americans, still own land and have sovereignity. However, before they were willing to give up their land for Americans. In return, they will recieve education, health, and walfare from the Americans. The tribes and Americans had a commitment and they had to follow up to it. Americans should stay committed to those treaties because they are getting something in return. When they don't do their part, the tribes wont do their part. Also, when they dont do their part, no one else will trust the Americans enough to have a treaty with them. It is best to always stay committed to you word/promise/agreement.
