It continues the same way it did back then. People wanted to make profit and so they thats what they did stole the goods of others and either kept or sold it but to made money. Today though they are looting much more vauable thinngs which means much larger portions of money like millions of dollars here.

Yes, the authorities are trying to stop piracy from occcuring. They have put a stop to most of the piracy going on by stopping them from their souce and taking it to their base. This task wasnt as easy as they thought it was going to be but in the end it was worth it. In result they found that they were costing the world five milion dollars more a year.

No, I do not beleive piracy then and now was or is justifiable. I think if you really wanted or needed money that bad or needed to make profit you would do something about it.
