1.) There are people who are taking over ships and are keeping people on the ship as hostages and then asking for money so the people would live.

2.) They are trying to get rid of the pirates in certain parts of the oceans so they could kill them so then there wouldn't be any pirates.

3.) No, because although they are desperate for money they should atleast try to work to get money not get money the illegal way.
