1. Piracy has continued in the modern because on the coast of Somalia, there are pirates attacking ships that go through. They hi-jack many ships and take all the treasures on the ship, and sometimes even captives for a ransom.

2. Piracy has changed because the technology between the modern day and the older days. Pirates, today, has better ships and weapons; whereas, back then pirates did not have advanced technology like today.

3. Authorites have been trying to destroy the pirates ship. Somlia officials are allowing European officals to do whatever it is to stop the pirates. European authorites has patroled the Indian Ocean to make sure no more attacks are made by pirates.

4. Yes, piracy is justifiable because back then and now they are stealing and hi-jacking boats, and taking people as captives for a ransom. Pirates make alot of money every year just because they decide to hi-jack ships; whereas, all the money they learn cause many countries to lose alot of money.
