1) Piracy still continues today because people in other countries don’t earn enough money so they go out and join pirates to earn quick money.

2) Pirating has changed by it being funded by countries to it being funded by small groups of people making millions and splitting it between one another. During the time of exploration it was funded and encouraged by the countries they are from.

3) Authorities are trying to combat the problem by fighting the pirates instead of giving them the money they are demanding. I believe this is the best solution because it is getting rid of the problem instead of giving the pirates even more money than they already have, to just go out and do more pirating.

4) I believe it was more justifiable in the past than it is now. I believe this because in the past they were told by powerful countries to go out and go pirate, now the pirates are doing it for their own agenda instead of having a well known country to tell to go do it.
