1. The passage is about how day of the dead is celebrated differently in different areas. Also, it talks about how it originated, and came from the Aztec culture. The Spanish tried to destroy all of Aztec culture but day of the dead did not die. It is a very important holiday to Mexican cultures and traditions.

2. In my opinion, I find it interesting how the day of the dead did not die. I wonder what made that day so important to people back then. I think that lots of modifications were made so it Ida little different then the Aztecs.

3. It connects to class because we talked about how the Spanish conquerd the Aztecs and took and destroyed everything. They put an end to the Aztec culture, but day of the dead did not die away.
