• The article talks about how about 500 years ago natives celebrated Dia de los muertos, or Day of the Dead. People would put wooden skulls to honor the dead and they also ate sugar skulls with the names of the deceased on the forehead to honor the dead. The natives viewed death as the continuation of life. The goddess known as Lady of the Dead was believed to have died at birth. Many familys celebrate this day by bringing toys for the children and bring tequila for the aduls.
• My opinion of this hasn't really changed. Me and my family celebrate Day of the Dead to remember our loved ones who have past away.
• This connects to class by the natives having this tradition continued throughout history.
