This week in class we were assigned an article on GPS. The article that I read was about students in Anaheim, California that missed or had 5 unexcused absents. In the article the school has a lot of students missing school ,so what the school did to change this rate was giving a Cell Phone like device that allowed the school know where that student was that day. In the timing the students also had responsibility to get to school and also not lose the device. My feelings after hearing such plan was very ridiculous. I say this because what if that student had a real reason for why that student had missed school. I also found it unfair because we were given the freedom to do things, but if you do this to child who doesn't show up to school its just like giving a man probation for his illegal act. This passage relates to are class because we show the idea of mapping out the students an in area and being able to track them. It also a way of telling us directions to get to that student.
