1. The article over all was about a new system called the pilot program used in Anaheim California to lower children absence rates. The pilot program is basically a GPS given to those who have more than four unexcused absences to track where the students are and to encourage them to attend school while also staying or they will pay the consequence of staying in juvenile hall.

2. My reaction to this was total surprise because like many parents that objected to the program I think giving kids a GPS to track where they are if they aren't in school is a little to beyond reasoning. I found it very surprising and hope something like that never reaches my school.

3. It relates to class because a GPS is a map system that pin points where the students are like the maps that we're learning about like a road map.
