1a) What makes someone a hero ? how do we decide which people to celebrate?
What I think makes someone a hero is they must be brave and a hero is someone who sees something that needs to be done and does it no matter what. we decide to which people to celebrate is by choosing someone that changed history or someone who made a change or impacted something about the world.

1b)do people all agree on who should be considered a hero/ saint, etc.?
No i dont think everyone agrees on who should be a hero ? saint because everyone has different perspectives of things
and have many different definitions of what a heroo/saint is.

2) You read that Joan of arc was executed as a heretic by the church. Now she has her own holiday. how easy is it to tell who good people and heroes are during their lifetime ? why do you think oppinions on joan of arc changed ?
I think it is hard to tell who good people are during their lifetime because everyone has different beliefs and what that peson says might? might not be true. i think oppinions on joan of arc changed because as years passed everything changed society changed mostly.

3) on the other hand, some heroes are later stripped of their frame and become criticized. Columbus, for instance, still has a holiday, but many people now view him as genocidal murderer. Is it fair to revise how we feel about historical figures based on new evidence?
I dont believe that is fair because maybe that person had a good reasonable reason and people are just judging without really looking into it and not knowing the truth.
