1. Pericles defines democracy by saying that it is in the hands of not just one but of many.

2. They attend both public and private dutes and do not allow absorptionin their own various affairs to interfere with their knowledge of the city's.

3. If I were to time travel I would want to live as an Athenian. I would want to live like this only because in Sparta all they concentrated onwas war. Even the women had to train their bodies to give birth to healthy boys to fight in the war. Living as an Athenian would mean that the people get more say in the govenment. Also because the life of a woman wasn not that hard. Only if the woman was poor was when it was a little harder because she would have to work outside the house.
