Mesoamerican Mayans
Government- Leaders rised threw marriage of the ruler. No form of army. Small hierarchical state. No signs of economic power. The had holy rules, the had gods they followed.
Religion-The Mayas had a strong believe in nature and based it of calenders, the Mayan priest predicted the future based on the past calenders. Based on the heavens they made special rituals. Mayans performed human sacrifice. They also belived in the underworld, heavens, and earth.
Jobs and agriculture- wild harvesting, and they grew crops.
Social hierarchy Educated people were the artist, scribes, and architects.
Cities/public works-Tikal the great plaza, Palenque, The palace, Kabah, Sayil, Labria, Tulum.
Arts and Architecture-High level of aesthetic and artisanal sophistication.
Writing-Use syimbols and logogrmas.
