1) How people of lower class get mistreated but it goes unnoticed because if you are from a higher caste. the police do not bother because it is thier religion to have the system in place and it is now how it has been for hundreds of years

2)I think the people of lower castes respond very negatively just like the way they did in class. I think it works the same way with a few differences such as, the higher castes didnt care about the lower ones in class we cared because, we knew each other and it was hard to turn away a friend. But in India it is much easier because, you dont know these people and they do not matter because, if your higher than them its simple to reject them

3)the treatment of the Dalits i can compare to how people treated slaves they made them do all the labor and hard work but when a "white man" did a crime against slave it went unnoticed just as it did in India

4)"They are frequently raped or beaten as a means of reprisal against male relatives who are thought to have committed some act worthy of upper-caste vengeance", that quote stuck out to me the most because it shows how women of the Dalits could just be raped, and by a family member at that, and it will just go unnoticed. i feel that is a horrible injustice but then again its religion and even though its wrong to me its hard for me to assume things because, religion is what you believe. And who am i to judge someone's religion i am no god so i cannot say religion is wrwong. it just is not the way i would do it.
