Today we prepared to take the trip to Chicago. Jerome found us some really good hotel reservations near the airport and then we were off. Once we made it into the city, we were stuck for some time in traffic at around 3:00 on the expressway. Once we made our way through it, we headed downtown, valet parked the car, and headed to the library to find some practice rooms. When nothing there was available, we went to Roosevelt University to practice, and, after spending quite a bit of time looking for the rooms, practiced for a while.

We then met up with Chie for some Vietnamese food. It was good catching up with her. Due to me feeling very sick (something I think that had been coming on all day), we headed to our hotel early. When we got to the hotel, the reservations had been messed up (via Hotwire) and the hotel was booked. Jerome saved the day and quickly made us reservations at the Holiday Inn. I then went to sleep, hoping I would feel better later.

More to come...
