Sawtell Peak
Brian and I in front of the radar. He was way more excited than me. So yesterday we were bored and decided to go for a drive. Sawtell Peak is actually the site of an FAA radar tower. If you are heading into Island Park, Idaho from the north on highway 20 take a right onto Sawtell road. There is an actual Subway shop on the corner. From there it's an easy 12 mile drive mostly gravel. There is a bit of ATV traffic but that's a given considering the area. When you are finished, stop and have dinner at one of the many great restaurants in the area. Two of our favs are Boondocks and Island Park Inn. The pics are a little hazy due to smoke from the wildfires.
