Maui

We arrived at our condo on the west coast of Maui late yesterday, after flying in from Oahu.

It's been pretty overcast, but as this was meant to be the relaxation part of the trip, it's not too much of a problem.

You wouldn't know from the photos (other than the palm trees swaying a bit), but both nights we've had incredible winds - the windows have been shaking and the surf has been crashing so hard on the beach right near us. And as you can see from the photos, we are literally right on the beach!

We've never slept this close to the water, and it was amazing how calming the waves are, making sleep very easy.

We had a look around the main town near us - Lahaina - today. This is where we saw these guys parasailing.
