The Parents.
They had been waiting in Reynolds Square for Max and myself to come out and I got this great stalker cam shot. So first and foremost, after I made the entry last night on this travel blog I decided to get some sleep. I didn't fall asleep for an hour or two (until Max was done watching TV and the lights were out). Right when I was about to fall asleep, like the brink of consciousness, my bed began to shake by my feet. It felt as if someone placed their two hands on the bed and was pushing it as if to wake me up. Oh man, I was soooooo scared! I tried to call Max's name, but I couldn't spit the words out---I seriously could not form audible words in my mouth. After about three tries I ended up yelling Max's name and waking him up, telling him about what happened. We ended up not falling asleep until like 3 AM! Anyways, the logical me is trying to find the reason for this---it could have been that my feet had a muscle spasm and I woke myself up. I'm really hoping it was just my body telling me how tired it was, but I guess we will find out tonight!!
Also, the food here has been super delicious. Yesterday Max
Reynolds Square
This monument is to John Wesley, the founder of Methodism. He lived on the plot of land the Inn is on. tried stuffed shrimp with crabmeat for the first time and he loved it. Dad had fried shrimp and Mom had a Savannah steak salad. We definitely want to stick to some good southern cooking! I will try a dish with grits before I leave for sure!
Anyways, today was pretty good. We walked a couple blocks to the main depot for historical trolley tours, and took an hour and 1/2 tour of the historic/victorian/colonial districts of Savannah. It was soooo interesting. There are so many different "squares" with memorials to many different, notable people. During the day, tons of people convene at these squares and socialize. They are like little melting pots. There is always music in the air because some people bring their instruments to play, like guitars, trumpets, and saxophones! The buildings are gorgeous! Not only is the architecture amazing, but everything is decorated for Christmas! We ended up getting off in this place called "Market Square" that has shops, restaurants, and art galleries. We ate at the Blue Moon Brewing Company (mussels for an appetizer and everyone had different food ranging from chicken salad, hamburgers, crab melts, and ham/shrimp sandwiches). We shopped around a bit. I
Planters Inn.
Here is the outside of the Inn. got a new elephant for my collection and Mom got a couple of things for the kitchen back home.
Our next stop was the main drag of historic Savannah where all the good shops were! There was Marc Jacobs, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, the best jewelry store called So Good, and even a guitar store for Max to look in. By that time we were pretty tired and ended up resting for a bit at the Inn. In the afternoon we went back to the River Walk and walked around, had gelato, and tried to avoid the panhandlers (they are absolutely crazy here!). We booked a ghost tour for 8:30 PM and just relaxed in a restaurant/bar where we ate peel and eat shrimp and potato skins.
The ghost tour was hilarious. It was this big black trolley called the "Death Trolley" that had a black light underneath the body so it made the thing glow. We had this older lady in costume as our host and drove throughout Savannah in the dark. She told us such cool stories about an orphanage that 2 little girls had died in, places where people had been hanged, and places where
Camera Ready!
Mom is already ready for the camera. exorcisms had happened. We actually went in this one house called the Sorrel-Weed House that is considered one of the most haunted in Savannah. The Sci-Fi channel did a special entirely on that building in 2005. We also left the trolley to look around at this old cemetery. Nothing too spooky happened--it was more interesting.
Now I'm just hanging out in the hotel room all paranoid. I have lots of pictures so enjoy. Love you guys!

Sooo Funny!
Sounds like lots of fun! Especially the authentic ghost shaking your bed! How creepy! Really seems like Savanna is a laid back kinda place. Lots of hanging out, strolling in the parks, taking in the scene! Love it! Are you guys thinking about doing another ghost tour? Maybe something a little scarier / hairier?!? You should! You should try talking to the ghost in your room - I bet you'll get a creepy response like we did back in St. Augustine - unusual bangs and knocks. Maybe tonight your bed will float in the air. =) haha
