Well I'm glad I had work to do, because the rest of the day was rough- Not knowing when we will see the girls again. Let's just say we are not dealing with a normal situation here.

Ken calls from Ingles (grocery store) on his way home to see if we need anything. He picks up a 'Cool Lime Refresher' for me; my newest favorite afternoon drink from Starbucks. We made a sandwich for lunch. He's got a few chores to do outside. After I am finished with my work for the day, I take a shower and we decided go out for dinner. I need to get out! We went to Mama G's again and have salads and pizza again-this time with broccoli, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms. We had the yummy rolls again.

Afterwards we decide to take a drive. There is a sign for Lake Rabun Campground. It doesn't say how far it is but we don't have anything else to do. We are soon following the shore of the lake on a narrow heavily wooded road. It's actually difficult to see the lake. We don't think we could safely bring the RV back here if we were interested in the campground. The homes along both sides of the lake are huge mansions; most with boathouses. There is a lot of money back here on this hidden gem. I was curious about the history of this area, so I found this on Wiki:

Lake Rabun is a twisty 835-acre reservoir with 25 miles of shoreline located in the Northeastern corner of Georgia in Rabun County. It is the third lake in a six-lake series that follows the original course of the Tallulah River. The lakes are owned and operated by the Georgia Power Company to generate hydroelectric for Georgia's largist city, Atlanta. Due to the large growth of Atlanta in recent years, Lake Rabun has become a second home to some of the most wealthy and politically connected individuals in the state of Georgia. Although Lake Rabun has experienced a huge housing boom due to leased lots by the Georgia Power Company, most home owners are summer weekend residents. Due to the small size of the lake and strong home owners association, and powerful board members, the lake has resisted many attempts to further commercialize and potentially damage its quaint appeal.

We finally found the campground. It is not on the lake side and it is rather run down. Ken stops at the camp host to make sure it is ok if we drive through. He had no teeth and it was difficult to understand him. We drove through and knew that we would never stay here. We decided to head back to the RV, it was dark now. We are tired; didn't sleep well the night before and the emotional exhaustion has taken over. Goodnight
