The much awaited 3-day holiday had arrived!

We left on the 18th of november (thursday) and it was off to Disneyworld, Orlando. The drive itself was only about an hour and a half seeing as we weren't going all the way into Orlando, and our hotel was only 5 minutes away from the theme parks.

We arrived at Country Inns and Suites, got our room key (with only a few issues) and got settled in. We had tickets to a midnight screening of Harry Potter, and had about 8 hours to kill. We started by vegeing out on the bed and watching TV and then broke out the snacks.
In the complex the hotel was in, there was a wide variety of dinner options, as listed: Kebabs, chinese buffet, mexican grill, steak and shake aaaaand some other food restaurant that I don't remember. We walked to steak and shake with only 3 hours left to Harry Potter and enjoyed some really bad (for you) food.
Come midnight we were both exhausted from the day but SO ready to sit infront of 2 and a half hours of bliss. The place was PACKED, the cinema itself was located, technically in "Pleasure Island" but it is just out of it and next to the Cirque Du Soleil tent and the House of Blues. Downtown Disney is such a happening place at night!

After a very late return to our hotel (to a VERY comfortable king sized bed) we slowly got up and made our way to MAGIC KINGDOM :D:D:D
On the drive to the parking lot, I was just like a little kid on christmas morning. The parking lot wasn't as packed as we'd thought, we got in easily, hopped on the shuttle and then jumped on the monorail which took us to the park. We got straight through the ticket booth and started our park adventure:D
The streets were filled with a street party that was happening down the main street infront of the Castle. After about 10 minues of standing/watching/taking photos we headed over to Tomorrowland! We sat through the Monsters Inc "Laugh Floor", which is full of audience participation: The monsters on the screen are the comedians and they tell the story of the movie, "Monsters Inc." but pick out random people from the crowd to be those characters (only to put a face to the name, no REAL acting involved.) Anyway, Will got selected as Randall and got on the screen twice xD
After this, we headed straight over to the Space Mountain ride! This has been the most intense roller coaster i've been on so far, seeing as we couldnt SEE where we were going. it was like riding through the air and being twisted and jerked in different directions. So much fun.
Quick stop for over-priced food (burger and fries) and then it was straight through fantasyland! this little town was so cute, teacups and swirls and fantasy everywhere, more a tourist attraction than a place for rides. We headed through Liberty Square and hopped on the river cruise, and then walked over to Frontierland and went on the "big thunder mountain railroad ride" :D
Adventureland was the place I was looking forward to most, seeing as it had the Pirates of the Caribbean ride which was AWESOME. The amount of money that must be put into the mechanical side of this park must be astronomical! It was insane!

The day came to a close after we'd walked up the big tree house and taken a few photos infront of the castle/with Walt Disney and Mickey. we took the ferry ride back and headed on back to the hotel.
Friday night we had Cirque Du Soleil tickets booked for 9pm which was absolutely AMAZING. Both Will and I were blown away by how incredible the talent was in this show. For about 10 minutes, four 8 year old looking girls had the stage and were performing a routine with Diablos, TravelBlog that was absolutely breathtaking. They got the biggest applause at the end aswell. After an hour and a half of being amazed, we headed out to a party on the other side of Orlando and partied until 3am (:D)
Granted, it was another really late night and we didn't get to the hotel for a while, but we slept in and were bright and shiny ready for Epcot in the morning :D

Okay so we were both exhausted from two late nights, but I was just as excited as I was the day before and the weather was perfect so nothing could go wrong. Another quiet day at Disney as we had no issues getting in and lining up for the first ride- it's actually inside that giant golf ball!
After that, we headed out for ANOTHER very expensive lunch, and then headed out to the "world showcase" part of Epcot, the famous countries all around the lake. I don't think I could have been MORE of a tourist in this place, taking so many photos of the different architecture and soaking it all in. It was really a fantastic place to go :D
It took about 4 hours to get around the entire thing, and by the end of it we were both exhausted and ready to be done with the park, no matter how magical it may be.

Since we'd checked out of the hotel that day at midday we had all our luggage with us in the car, as we'd planned on going camping that night at a music festival/house party event with some of Will's friends in orlando. We got to the party and set up but only managed to stay for 2 hours before the cops turned up and told everyone to leave. There was a generous amount of people at this party, it was no wonder it got shut down in the end, but it was fun while it lasted. we packed up and headed back to Will's friend's apartment and spent the night there, only to come home on Sunday.

LONG weekend, EPIC weekend, and I am definitely in need of recovery sleep very soon. It was definitely a highlight though :D
All the photos are on facebook as I can't be bothered putting something like 200 photos on this blog, so enjoy :D

love to home xo
