Orlando to Miami

Drove to Tampa and then through the Big Cypress National Preserve and the Florida Everglades. We stopped at a low pier on the side of the highway and some very gentle wild alligators swam right up to our feet. We checked in to our hostel in Miami, Florida and went out and had enormous 2-for-1 cocktails at a restaurant overlooking South Beach. A cartoonist drew a picture of us, a violinist serenaded me, and we held a gorgeous live yellow python.
