Smithsonian metro station
Got stuck here for about 20 minutes just trying to get out of the metro. It's Spring time and we once again have good thing to enjoy in this season, Cherry Blossoms. Yes, it's Cherry Blossom festival in the capitol city. We joined my sister-Mook, brother-in-law-Tim, and my 7 year-old nephew-Mii and rode the metro(subway)to Smithsonian Gallery station. It was unbelievably packed in the train cabins and it got even worse when we got off at our station. It normally takes about a few minutes to get out of the metro station but today we got stuck in there for close to half an hour. We got stuck on the platform immediately after getting of the train. It just seemed like an eternity, trying to get off the platform, then pay station, then getting on another escalator to get out of the metro station. that was quite a trip in itself.
So finally we got out and were joined by pi Yai, pi Poom, and their son, Prin at the Smithsonian castle. We spent sometime here. Doug got an opportunity to take pictures of the kites floating and flying in the Mall's sky during kite festival. After that we marched with the crowd to Tidal Basin where those beautiful Cherry Blossoms were. At this point

Yeah!!! I can see the light.. pi Tom, his wife-Elma, and their kids just came to join us. Cherry Blossoms were pretty. I and Doug really enjoyed ourselves taking pictures of things and people.
It was a fairly relaxing day except the part that we got stuck in the metro station.
