A trip into DC was on the agenda for today. We wanted to go the Newseum the last time we went to DC and we didn’t have time for it, so we went today. We had to drive in and parking was really hard to find, probably because of July 4th preparation. We finally found a garage that had space and we were the last one in before it closed. Luckily, it was located across the street from the Newseum. The Newseum is a 6 story building filled with all kinds of information on News reporting. There was also a 4-D movie, copies of newspapers from many years and many award winning photos along with several exhibitions from different newsworthy subjects such as the 911 attack, Berlin Wall and the life of JFK. One could easily spend all day here because there is so much to see.

We passed by this really interesting monument while coming back from Union Station on the way back to the hotel.
