September 4th The weather is still warm and sunny here in Piedmont, so we found a few swimming holes and cooled off in the clear water. I wish I could tell you where these wonderful little spots are. But then they would be so crowded that no one would be able to enjoy the peace and privacy. What I will say is that I really liked Sam Baker State Park and the Black River. September 5th-6th Loaded up now and headed out, first going east to get to the Highway 67 and turning south toward Poplar Bluff. The weather was a bit on the muggy side with high humidity.
