Connecticut was all about friends.
We were happy to see the Parkers again and to meet many new friends at the local congregations as well as at Walkill and Patterson Bethel.
Walkill and Patterson
It's always good to know someone on the inside, that's how we got to see many 'behind the scenes' extras! We loved seeing the Audio Visual AS WELL AS THE Art departments where all the paintings, dramas, dvds and cds are made! So much effort goes into a single picture or illustration on our printed pages, every little detail from the makeup, hairstyles, clothing and all the props- all is planned and thought through with tons of research done before it is published. I now have a much deeper appreciation for the literature we receive and will remember all those who work so hard to get it to us.
The printing press is still very busy and reading the printery's statistics made my jaw drop to the ground, there is just no other work like this in the world, which convinces me even more that we have divine backing because this kind of work can never be accomplished just by mans efforts alone! This is not
the only printing press of this scale that the organization uses to get the Bible's message to people- there are 5 worldwide! It really is a worthwhile tour to do even if you are not religous , it is just interesting to see how this global preaching and printing work is done.
The Parkers and Jacksons made sure we were entertained and went home with a smile and a full tummy while in Connecticut, they also introduced us to many new friends, we really enjoyed spending time with you all! Sorry if your foto isn't here, some were too blurry to put up (probably from all the laughing and hugging!).
Goodbye
