A 2017 model with very swish seating and amenities.First stop a tour of Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. They lost last night to Cleveland and their finals campaign is ended, so there were some long faces. Then on to the towns of Lexington and Concord for more details on the Revolutionary War.In the afternoon a 90min drive SW on the Mass. Pike to Hartford, Connecticut where we stayed the night. Hello subscribers this is my first blog about my experience in Grad School. The trip started with Brian, my mother and I all packing into a vehicle and driving down the Hartford, CT. The drive was great and we even got to see Emily Cain driving down the high way. Brian was a great navigator (must be the eagle scout skills). We got to see the destruction from the Mass tornado. I have never see anything so destructive in my life. We finally arrived at the Crowne Plaza on Saturday June 4th, 2011. The hotel was beautiful and we spent our first night out on the town at the City Steam in down town. The restaurant was very old and showed get history. I must travel. Late last year the United States plunged into the deepest recession since the Great Depression, and I must travel. Spending money should be the last thing on my mind right now, yet I must travel. Wanderlust can be a serious affliction sometimes. After much effort going through my (newly reduced) spending budget, I managed to squeeze out enough funds for a single week road trip. With that time limit, whatever I saw needed to be relatively close. Going over maps, I remembered something I heard about last year. While staying at Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvania, I learned about an incredibly difficult raft trip called the Upper Youghiogheny. It features nearly continuous whitewater, so difficult it makes the Gauley look reasonable by comparison. After much contemplation, I decided to go for it. I ... read more
