Day 4 :
Texas to Tulsa today. Today is a "short" drive, only 7 hours. Looking forward to seeing Family.
It's hard to believe that we have already driven 1500 miles. That puts us about 1/2 way to Charlotte already. Looking forward to seeing everyone and spending a few days out of the car 😊

Stu is a driving machine. He really likes the 75 mph speed limit. He is chewing up the miles like Pacman (wacca, wacca, wacca).

Arrived in Tulsa well actually Collinsville OK; yesterday during the day no less, that is a first for this trip. We all had a great time. Thanks Aunt Cat & Otis for the hospitality, the BBQ was awesome! The kids had a great time meeting and playing with their cousin. They were happy to be out of the car and be able to run around a bit. A much needed break for everyone. Only sorry that we didn't have more time to spend with you; next time.

It's hard to believe that we already have 5 states under our belts. Only 10 more to go till NY and Grandma & Pop-Pop. Yeah!

Headed to St. Louis today to see some more family. We will also visit the Gateway Arch and an local Ice Cream stand.

Day 5:
Another "short" drive today to St. Louis. Arrived during the day again. Woo Hoo! Got the kids out of the car again to spend some time with more cousins. They had a great time on the trampoline, and so did Stu 😊
After dinner, Thanks Linda, we headed to the Arch. It was awesome! We got to take the "elevator" up to the observation deck and see the city. Afterward we went to Ted Drewes for Ice Cream. That was the best Ice cream I've had in a long time. For anyone who knows me I rank it up there with my beloved Carvel.

Well, it's off to Charlotte tomorrow Yeah!
So much for "short" drives. We've got about a 13 hour one ahead of us. uugh! Good thing the kids haven't gone through all the movies yet. I see lots, and lots of coffee in our future.

Some fun road facts:
States we have visited = CA, NV, AZ, TX, OK (I'm counting CA since we practically drove through the whole state)
1st Toll road since leaving Northern California = OK - some 2000 miles into our trip.
Lots of construction zones but not a lot of construction going on. I guess when it's 100+ in the shade I can't much blame them for not being out there in that heat, dry or not 😊
Missouri is where we first noticed that Carls Jr. becomes Hardees (same burger chain different name)
1st Waffel House sighting in Missouri - since then we have seen a total of 3 (we are still in Missouri)
You know candy is too sweet when your 6 year old says so
The count for the Liscence plate game = Stu - 15 Teretha - 26. I think it's safe to say I won 😊 Now we are just looking to see if we are going to see all 50. I say YES and of course Stu says NO.

Day 4 and 5
The Gateway looks amazing, by the way Stu looks like he's having way too much fun on that trampoline...Ashleys words "no fair I want to jump" lol. Your kids are awesome to handle all those miles! Keep the pics coming we feel like we are traveling with you! Sydney Ashley says she misses you :-(
