6-month campsite booking window is just ridiculous. I don’t remember why I got site #3. I booked for Fri/Sat nights and sure enough, something came up for Saturday morning that we had to cancel Friday night. It was really hard to let go of that Friday night since Sunset State Beach was sold out Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights for this long weekend! Anyhow, here we are, kicking off the camping season for 2023! We’d been to Sunset State Beach campsite in September 2021 and loved it. The campground is nice, not buggy, and has foot access to the expansive beach. It’s not too far from home either. Last time, we went to Elkhorn Slough, Gizdich Farm, and the agriculture fair.
