Future home? Future home? Future home?

Tileli and I found these during our quest for bus passes... pretty though!
Today was the site-seeing day. Too bad we woke up to the worst fog Tileli had ever seen since she moved to San Francisco late May. We woke up and caught the bus to the Golden Gate Bridge. Too bad when we got to the Bridge, you could barely even see it because it was covered in a dense fog. We meant to stop right on the other side of the bridge, however, we didn’t realize what we were doing so we ended up in Sausalito, accidentally. It turned out to be quite the pleasant accident (and most definitely not the last one). Since the sun was out there, we decided to sit at the docks and have our packed lunch that we brought: sandwiches, apples, wasabi peas (our staple food group). After finishing up there, we caught the bus back, after much confusion, the super-nice bus driver gave us emergencies passes to get on the right bus back to the Palace of Fine Arts where there was the Exploratorium Children’s Museum, which Til wanted to see. After waiting forever at Union Center for this mystery bus, we FINALLY got there, and it was quite beautiful. There is a pond there

See that wall of fog behind us... that kept us from truly ever seeing the Golden Gate
with a lot of birds, a brightly and richly colored shrubbery (like there were these nearly purple leaves on this one bus - reference picture). It was quite picturesque, once you got past the fog of course. Besides the multitude of loud, misbehaving children, we had a good time at the museum, after a much-needed espresso of course. After a few hours there pretending we were 8 again, we decided it would be a good idea to walk all the way to Fisherman’s Wharf. Luckily the entire road there was flat, but it was a good 2.5 mile walk, after we had be exploring all day (keep it mind it was a lot more cold than I thought it was going to be). Once we walked though Ghiradelli Square, we got there, and we went straight to the restaurant Pier something or other. I ate a sourdough bread bowl of clam chowder, and had a split fish dish: half salmon, half tuna (and of course, my customary sparkling water with LIME not lemon). Tilly had the salmon. All the fish they made there was cooked over the wood burning ovens - so yes, it was good. From there, we went

I still couldn't believe how cold it was there!
and bought a supply of Ghiradelli chocolate to enjoy once we got back to the apartment. On the way home, we went to the grocery store to buy lunch supplies for the next two days. The rest of the evening was spent rewatching all of the crazy videos and pictures we took, while of course, eating our chocolate purchases, and the nutella (with a little bit of Man vs. Wild on the TV).
