It was my first day in San Francisco. We were in August so it was not so hot but you weren´t freezing. My family and I spend the whole day walking everywhere we could, near the sea, in the streets, near the hotel. We stopped at this museum that was called Exploratorium, and I have to say I had a lot of fun. It was for kids but you could do a lot of things, and I enjoyed it a lot. I had an amazing time and I knew this vacations were going to be awesome.
In our few days here, we did a lot of things and walked to a lot of places, but one of the things that took my attention was Alcatraz. It was a windy and rainy day when we went, so in the boat I felt a sick, but it was worth it. It was crazy to see a jail that is not used anymore, and thinking what the prisoners felt when they were here. I met incredible people in the way and they explained me more about the place. I was pretty excited, but it was also spooky.
When
we already did everything we wanted to do, we just decide to walk around the city. It is a beautiful city that will entertain you with one of its million attractions, so you can never get bored. You could find people from all over the world in there, and a lot of them were easy-going, so I made a lot of friends. The only thing that I didn’t like that much was the climate, it was freezing.
When you are in San Francisco, you need to go to Golden Gate, it´s something essential. I had a lot of fun and I met a lot of people there. I remember how much I laughed that day and that´s why it was one of the best days of my life. I made friends everywhere, in the bus, when we were waiting, and you could find unforgettable people in there. Me and my sister tried to grab the Golden Gate while my dad was telling us what to do, and even when we tried more than 5 times, we finally made it.
When we were freezing or we were really tired, we get to see every store
we could. One of the stores that took my attention was Lefty´s, and it was funny to see a store for left-handed. We went in there because we bought a lot of things for my dad and cousin, and it made me feel weird because I realized everything they sell in all the other stores are only made for right-handed people.
There were a lot of restaurants in the city, but without doubting one of my favorite was a French one. All the food was amazing, and since that day I like French food. You could find of everything, that´s why we met a guy from Argentina in there. This restaurant change my point of view of this type of food, and I´m glad I ate there that day.
Before we stopped to eat at the French restaurant, we went to a huge park that was near the shore. We walked a lot, since some people there said it was the size of Central Park in N.Y., but there were a lot of things to visit that park. We entered a museum that was about history and nature,
and there were very interesting fake animals you could see. It was a rainy and cold day, but with a jacket you were going to be OK.
Still in San Francisco, the fourth and fifth day in there, we visited the Lombard Street. It was quite fun and exciting to see that street with my own eyes, and it was way more awesome when we tried it by foot. It was a windy day, but we didn’t care about that because we were having a lot of fun. It was a crowded place for being just a street, but I think many people thought the same way I did.
Nights in San Francisco were incredible, it was calm, you were in peace, you have incredible views. Just right after the sunset, my dad and me went to walk a little while my sister and mom rested. We were alone in the middle of the streets, not one single car to be seen, so we just decided to take advantage of that. You could stand in the middle of the street and no one would care, and that’s one of the things I liked the
most.
Some days later we went to Los Angeles, and one of my favorite things we did there was going to Disneyland. It was a lot of fun and we all were very excited. My mom ruined our picture by putting her finger in the shot, but we didn’t blame her because she is just learning. In my way there I met the cutest baby girl dressed as a princess, and that melted my heart.
It was almost midnight but we were having so much fun to just go back to the hotel. I ride all the games I could a lot of times, but the bad thing was that while the time passed it was getting colder. I was amazed by all the things I saw and could do that day, but sadly we needed to leave. I didn’t want to went back to my country because I was having the best week of my life.
This was the hottest day I spend there, and the sun shining at it´s brightest wasn’t helping a lot. I was having a small break from the games, I was already a little dizzy.
I spent the day with my family walking everywhere we could, and I swear I have never smile an entire day without stopping but that one. It was really strange to change from the cold climate from San Francisco to the hot one in L.A., but I think I liked the second one better.
I was at Cars land, and I met all the characters from the movie. I wished my cousin was there with me, because I think that if he sees everything I was that day, he would faint. My sister and me had a bunch of pictures in there, and we didn’t care if people saw us like if we were insane. It actually looked and felt like a desert, and that was surprising. I was already tired, but since I was having so much fun I just kept going.
One of my favorite games in Disney was the Hollywood Tower of Terror. At first I was scared, even though I have climbed it before. I was kind of nervous until a girl notice and she helped to feel a little better. She was really small but she was way more
excited and happy to be there than I was. Later on I found out it was her third time in the day and I understand her, because after riding it one, I couldn’t stop.
My sister and I were at a jellyfish game that was supposedly only for little kids, but we still climbed it. It was fun seeing us in there, and people outside were just staring and some were laughing. I was just thrilled to be there and I had a lot of fun. I laughed so much I almost cry, and I was happy because I was making some people smile.
