Greetings from the outskirts of Yosemite. Today was a day of twists and turns for 7 hours straight! We left Tahoe around 10:30 (late start) and headed the back route to Yosemite - taking CA 207 to CA 88 to CA 89 - went over some seriously beautiful summits and stopping for lunch at a little diner in Walker CA. We arrived at the east gate of Yosemite around 1:30pm and spent the next 5 hours winding our way up and then winding our way down. We took some great pictures, it was a fantastic day! There was still snow at a couple of the summits - we were up as high as 9,000 ft! It was a perfect, beautiful day weather wise. Couldn't have been luckier. We were going to try for Fresno tonight but had to stop in Oakhurst as all those winding roads take there toll - I am beat! We are heading for the coast tomorrow as Rusty needs some clam chowder and I have to throw him a bone as he is NOT happy about the gambling debaucle last night!
