Midnight Snack
Playful cousins enjoying berries together! We made it to our cousins beautiful new home in Los Gatos. Had a great time with Jan, Nicola, Eric and Tia Marisa. Thanks for all the food and laughs and magic tricks - the best in the land! It's great to see God has you exactly where you're meant to be! Thanks for all the love! Our boys loved running crazy with Eric 'round and 'round. And making sock puppets and taking pictures over and over and over again. The offer of a real bed tempted me but the kids keep insisting on sleeping in the motorhome - I guess that's why we got it, right?! We were all extra cozy in our new pjs and slippers, thank you Grammy and Grampster! We were way excited to get a load of laundry washed - thanks, Nic! And we got 3 little piggies washed up too! We woke up to Sunny Sky and then a little rain, but once we hit the road we were cruising through Santa Cruz with our shades on and the windows down and our first view of the ocean was spectacular! Fun to share that moment with you over the phone, Kari!
Driving to the
Monterey Bay Aquarium went smoothly. Parking was a little tricky but we found a spot with a parking meter for the afternoon. The aquarium was a thrill! Great idea, Karla! The best penguin exhibit I've ever seen! Man they eat like pigs - I mean - Penguins - oh, you know what I mean! 😊 The Sea Otters were tons of fun as always (Geoff's favorite) and we could see Sea Lions (my favorite) off in the distance hanging out off the shore on a buoy lounging in the waves. We saw different kinds of sharks and incredible jellyfish. Mary liked the hammerhead sharks - I'm sure because of Star Wars. We watched two river otters wrestling on and on and Kai said they must be a mommy and daddy - too cute! I'm not sure if that was because he thought they were frisky and in love or fighting?? In love, I'm sure! It was a great day and we even got to enjoy a fun meal at Bubba Gump's. We had to cut it a little short because we knew our meter was running low. So we ran back to the motorhome to find no more minutes left and
no ticket! Yeah, God! Then as soon as we stepped into the motorhome it started to rain. Yeah, God! We beat the rain. Then Geoff went to start the engine and it didn't turn over? Yeah, God! Right? We're to praise God no matter what. And God did immediately provide a good man to jump the battery and here we sit, letting the battery charge up and use free internet service from the Monterey Bay Plaza Hotel and Spa - thank you, kindly. So we talked to Geoff's mom and blogged some more then after about 20 minutes or so of just being the in RV J. asked, "Dad? Aren't we suppose to be moving?" Well, son, it's complicated... On that note I guess it's time to say "Goodnight, sleep tight, and pleasant dreams to you all!"
