Congestion at LAX saw us delayed on the tarmac in Sacramento for an hour. At LAX we alighted onto the tarmac and a shuttle bus took us to the terminal to retrieve our luggage. After being snarled in traffic on the airport ring road Erin picked us up and we had an extra good fish lunch (Malibu Fish Grill) near her work.

In the afternoon we visited a couple of shops and picked up Erin after work. Walked a little over 2km to Venice for dinner (Casa Linda Mexican Grill) and ice creams (Salt and Straw), then walked back along the canals and bridges. Very pretty and great to have good Mexican food again. The ice creams were special too!

Sat we strolled around downtown and went to see the Tom Hanks movie "Sully", which was good.

And lots of street food. Yum. It was really surprising how much the temperature rose when we left the coast and went into the downtown area.
