Hi all, Wendy writing this one. Flight was crap, had lined up all the films we wanted to watch.... but the in flight system crashed, so was pretty boring. San Francisco is freezing, up to 30 degrees lower than a few miles inland. They do a booming trade in fleeces. I think they should rename the place Lycraville.... all the young and beautiful people (and the gays) run and cycle endlessly. There are no hippies anywhere I felt really scruffy and out of place. The whole place is like trendy bits of London, property prices are astronomical, $1000000 for a smallish terrace is the norm. We did all the stuff, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, hanging of a tram, wiggly Lombard Street. Big Red Fire Engine (for Kevin....Bless!) Had Clam Chowder in a sour dough bread on Pier 39, was the size of a bowling ball! Very nice.
Now have rental car from Rent a wreck, cheapest we could find. Now travelling up north and just been through the Valley of the Giants, huge red wood trees and stuff, and hugged the worlds largest tree, 370 feet tall.
