Towering Giants

You can't help but to look up. These trees are so magnificent.

I found a perfect sitting spot in between these two forest friends.

Morning Dew

This dew was eye-catching because a spider had strung its web across the plant leaves, catching the drops.

Ewww!

Banana Slug! LeAnne made fun of me, saying I was ready to kiss one b/c I was trying to save it by pushing it off the trail, so I watched it until I knew it was going to be okay, and then the next one I saw, I got completely grossed out. But that's b/c he was all extended and gross-like.

Tree Climbing

These trees are perfect for climbing. We got the book about Luna, the tree Julia Butterfly Hill lived in for 2 years in order to save it from the loggers, & we're planning on reading it along the way. What a brave woman!

Random

Here's a random cob of corn we found on the roadside. The plaque on it is a dedication to the memory of the city, population 50. Is the town no more? We're not sure, but the corn on the cob will live on forever.

Education Time

I jumped out of the car & began giving a lecture on the Redwoods from the plaque. I really got into it, as you can see.

Be safe, take care of each other....and fix your headlight ! That way you will have an extra $112.00 ( Traffic fine) to spend in VEGAS baby...Why give the "man" $ when you can eat crab legs at the Belligeo!!!!! It so much better than Denny's.
