Red banner weekend for walking 10 km( 6 mi )Saturday and 15 km( 9 mi ) Sunday, Thursday Laurie & I did 10 km .. nice .
Reservations Plane reservations are complete
. North West Arkansas to Chicago then Madrid .. Taxi to St Jean Pied de Port ,France where will stay two nights at Maison Donmaria then begin our trek on the 26th .
We have decided to take the route Napoleon over the Pyrenees Mountains to the Orission Refugio which is 5 miles from St Jean. Still trying to get reservations made at Orission http://www.refuge-orisson.com/en/. Emailed three times with no response. I finally posted a note on the Camino Forum

BackPacks Andrew and I have our backpacks .. Mine is a Osprey Kestrel 38L . His is a Deuter 38M . Laurie is using a small pack for now still has to get one for the trip . Rule of thumb is not to pack more then 10%!o(MISSING)f your body weight into your backpack .
Other equipment We still have a lot more to gather before we are ready .. I have my hiking shoes ( Columbia ) with ankle
sport, not so A & L ( Andy & Laurie) .. Sleeping pads =1 so far and two head lamps that still need testing. List is still being made.
