So while the rest of the people here are looking for dinosaur bones, Gail has her own way of searching for history. We couldn't edit the previous blog to add them so here are some of her best finds.
We are a few days behind and Gail now wants to tell you about our flotation therapy...we couldn't resist when it said one hour in the flotation tank was as good as 3 days of detox. Gail will tell you our story...
We drove to the compound, and yes I do mean the word compound. The place was completely enclosed by a high wooden fence. Sue, gave me a look like I dont know about this, but I said oh come on I'm sure we will make it out. Just then a tall man came over to us (I think his house was next door) and introduced himself, then unlocked the pad type combination lock . We entered into a beautiful Japanese style garden and was greeted by a very tiny Japanese lady (this will become important later on).
We entered a large open area which had a lovely Japanese tea room inside. Kevin (the tall man) asked if this
The Float Compound
We were too stunned to get pictures on the inside. was the first time we had ever floated. The importance to relax and breath and really dwell deep inside ourselves as their will be no sensory stimuli to distract us.
My room had an older smaller tank which opened sideways. After you shower, you climb into the tank which looks like a huge time capsule. Then you close the tanks doors and push a button in the tank which starts to slowly dim the inside light until you are floating in concentrated Epsom salt water.
This is not for the claustrophobic. For an hour I relaxed and let the water completely support my body so I could relax all my muscles. I thoroughly enjoyed it, until the music started and the inside light started to glow indicating it was time to leave the tank. Easier said then done, opening the doors was easy but finding traction for your feed was next to impossible. By sheer will and determination I got out of the tank. After showering and getting dressed, I noticed in the bathroom Sues glasses and med bracelet were still there. As I bypassed her room to exit I could hear faint music.
Now Sue was in
Sue's flotation tank
She didn't look quite like this when I rescued her. Oh yes, we didn't wear bathing suits either. the larger tank they called Mork and Mindy. She took this tank because to enter or leave you have to push up with your shoulders, and since her shoulders are better than mine she chose this tank. I was now outside the flotation area and was offer some water. Now knowing what a difficult time I had getting out of the tank I felt sure Sue must be having the same problems. I asked the tiny Japanese lady if I could check on my friend and told her why. She said Oh No and quickly unlocked the door for me to renter the tank area. I went to Sues tank and slowly started to left the tank cover, Needless to say she was very glad to see me and wondered when the h.ll someone was going to help her out. Every time she had tried to lift the cover she could not get solid footing and flailed around like a fish.
While this had been taking place, inside her tank they had been trying all different types of music which Sue found quite irritating , She figured someone would eventually arrive. The people running the outfit
figured Sue had
gone into a deep state of hibernation (like a bear) and had been changing the music in a attempt for her to think it was spring and time to come out of the tank and join the rest of the world.
You had to be there it was too funny. We both agreed overall the treatment is very relaxing and would try it again.
The truck parked across from the compound
It was an older model and had 3-4 garbage pails loaded in the back so we weren't quite sure what we would find inside.

The moral of the story is take a friend to the bath or you may become a sponge. The bath sounds very relaxing until you have to exit.
