This is the begining of our Winter trip that will have us on the road for about 6 weeks or so.
We got a late start & only traveled 143 miles & stayedin a parking area just south of Navajo National Monument on SR 564.
The next morning we started towards Las Vegas. We stopped at the Carl Hayden Visitor Center at the Lake Powell Dam in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area then stopped & had lunch at the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument Visitor Canter. Very nice VC well worth the Stop. Then on to Hurricane, UT where we stpped for Gas then we stopped in St George to fill our propane tank then over to Utah's Snow Canyon State Park. By the ime we got there it was dark & the Campground Host was closing up & he opened up to take our Money & assign us a site & he even took us to it & made sure we were OK before he left. Snow Canyon has a real nice Park & very nice Campground. We will be coming back there when we can spend more time there. That night we got a light snow fall & no
the Park's name is not because of snow from the sky but it is named after Lorenzo and Erastus Snow, early Utah leaders.
Total miles so far 387.
