Hello all ye blog followers!
We went to Hawthorne on our first day out , Friday,where Jodie and Aidan met us. the next morning we went on a 4-wheel drive poker run to benefit breast cancer research. We had a great time and saw new country on the other side of Walker Lake. There a few new wildflowers to identify. Then we all went on to Dyer. Jodie and aidan spent the night and had a good visit with the grandparents and Uncle Charlie. We stayed and took Rich's mom and dad to twon on Tuesday. We had a nice stay, but on Wednesday, we left for Arizona. We had looked on-line for flowers at Death valley, and lo and behold they were still blooming because of the recent rain and cooler weather! We detoured there and enjoyed a beautiful drive past Scotty's Castle to Furnace Creek where the temperature was 101 degrees! Time for ice cream! We decided to spend the night near Scotty's Castle, where the wind rocked the trailer (and us) to sleep.
The wifi here is incredibly SLOW, so I can't upload photos.
