Hi everyone! We made it to Arizona yesterday. All of our travels went very smoothly. The visibility on our flight was great almost the whole time. It was really neat to watch the landscape change so much from piedmont to mountains, to plains, and then desert. Our greeting and brunch with Aunt Joan and Uncle Bob was delightful and delicious. Afterward Aunt Joan was a wonderful tour guide, showing us around Fountain Hills and Rio Verde, where their condo that we are staying in is located. Uncle Bob joined us later at Rio V., as he was busy with the AC repairman, and we couldn't blame him for wanting to get that straight, seeing as the temperature was 116!
Aunt Joan must have done a good job on our tour, 'cuz we managed to find shopping and a restaurant last night without getting lost! Of all things, we found a Cuban restaurant and really enjoyed it.
The temperature today is supposed to be lower today at 109, with higher humidity, a whopping 20%! It is definitely a different world out here. We are both amazed at the difference in the landscape. Our plan today is to drive
north of Phoenix to Tonto National Forest and take in sights at the Tonto Natural Bridge and the Mogollon Rim. . . hoping to find a little cooler temps. there! More photos below . . . TTYL, Jo and Nick

Hi there, sounds like you have a lot of neat things planned. Isn't it neat out there. I loved it! Now not sure about the temps but I know it is dryer. The other day it was only 81 here and we were all dripping everytime we went out the humidity was so high. Well I'm enjoying this blog, keep it coming and have a great time! Love ya, Lora
