The pool
More often than not we are the only ones using it Hi All,
At last we are in our new home. All our stuff arrived in one piece last Friday and it has been good to finish setting up the apartment. Such a great feeling to finally have a home after living out of a suitcase for 4 months (not complaining too much as we did have the holiday of a lifetime!)
It has all fitted in really well, and even though the apartment is small it's perfect for us. For those of you who don't know it's a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor with a patio off the front door. It's open plan with a kitchen, dining and living area. The bedroom has a walk-in closet (love it!) and it's a lot bigger than our bedroom back in Bradley Stoke (our king bed looks small in it, specially compared to the king beds here, they are huge!)
Clare, Dave's cousin, gave us a set of patio furniture (with 2 patio bar stools) that they were giving away so now we can sit outside and look at view of the pool, palm trees with a glass of wine (or beer!)!
We had to do lots of

Showing the gym and our apartment on the left hand side shopping to get all the stuff that we didn't ship over which was fun, but I have to say that we are a little fed up of spending time in Ikea and Walmart and numerous other house stores. Luckily the place came with all the big stuff like cooker, fridge, washing machines etc. Our fridge is covered with magnets that we shipped over and that we collected during our world tour.
As the living room is small we had to buy a 37" flat screen TV (I know, hardship!) and we are now set up with cable which has a Soccer channel that plays all the UK football so Dave is happy as can be. We have also set up broadband and wireless which is fab. Writing this sitting outside on the patio in the morning sunshine.
Last night we entertained for the first time, we had Al and Sheila (Dave's aunt and uncle) over for dinner and its was nice to cook and enjoy a meal with family. Hope we have lots of you over so that we can do the same.
Since we arrived the weather has been amazing, only a couple of days of
Outside of apartment
View of our apartment from the pool cloud. Its been between 25 and 30 degrees but you don't feel it as you would in England as it's so dry. So from now on we will only talk about the weather if it rains, which does not happen often!
Next job is to start looking for work......
Well I shall finish rambling now so that you can have look at the pictures. There are lots so that you can get a good idea of the place.
Lots of love to you all. Missing you and wish you were here.
PS if any of you have broadband at home we are set up on Skype (which allows you to talk to people online free) so set yourselves up (all you need is to download the software and get a microphone) and we can talk for FREE.
