It is true I have been home for a while but I did promise the photos and of course the process is one I am familiar with here . This is probably the last installment of the journey. The mountain Ranges were awesome. I really had not realized how beautiful Alaska was. I hope you enjoy these.

A braided river created by glacial melt over many seasons. The water carries silt ,gravel and rocks which create the" braids".

Rivka's Roadhouse. Meant to serve the travellers of days gone by. They all had the same look to them . Food on the main and sleeping on the second floor.

From Donnelly State Park. It had been raining and we decide to stop so we could go throught the pass the next day .It was a great spot to spend the night .Us and the Ranger were the only one's there.

Mount Drum really got my attention . It blew it's top eons ago but there is still a plume of hot air rising. These are all volcanic mountains. 13 are still active.

Another WOW moment. The roads were slow ,up down around and around ,and then having to stop to take it all in every 30minutes(?) or so takes a lot of time.

The Mat-su Glacier. What a marvel it was. We camped here over night ... our last "wilderness"

I can't wait - I've never heard anything but rave reviews about Alaska. We are going for a 1 week cruise in Sept.
