Dax, Jaden, Juli, Brian and Cathy and I hiked the West Mendenhall Glacier trail today, trying to get to the actual glacier. I was really cool - a very jungle type hike that the last half had rock climbing and other interesting items to get past. Lots of streams and great views. The Glacier itself was cool to see—rivers underneath it while it melted above our heads. We have great pics of going inside the ice caves. Really enjoyed hanging with Brian and Cathy, and the hike is one of the more interesting ones we ever do.
Blaze stayed with my parents who took him on a hike around the lake they are staying on. He could use the break and it would have been a tough hike for him. We are all going to dinner tonight as this is our last one here! Off to Anchorage tomorrow early.
