see barrow, ak. and clay in their splendor. well, barrow anyway.

despite the minus 20F(-28C) including the windchill of course, i couldn't resist the photo opportunity provided by the baleen(whale bone) 'palm' trees.
in the foreground is snow whilst that is a very frozen arctic ocean in the background. thought i should explain as the photo was underexposed and of low quality.
it was a great visit (less than 4 weeks) but i wouldn't want to live there.
sadly the polar bears were further out and the moms to be were in den giving birth. guess i'll have to go back to see them?
