North to Alaska

We are just hours from heading toward our Alaskan journey with Madison.....I think this is the 5th year Dick and I have taken her on an annual Grandparents trip and she chose Alaska.
Today we fly from home to Anchorage, try and get some sleep (we're all excited you know plus the constant daylight is a little difficult) and spend some time on Thursday exploring Anchorage before heading to Homer then Valdez.
The one sad note is that Shane left Alaska a couple weeks ago so we won't get to see him until mid August. This poor ole mama just missed her boy something fierce.
I'll try to be consistant with this blog so perhaps you can journey with us and if I figure out how to upload pictures that will add to the interest;-)
