So, here's the story so far. My roommate, Kay, and I moved to Alabama to get out and away from the mire of our previous lives. We moved here to be closer to our common college friends. Here we found that the land of milk of honey, fill of the government's bounty of contracting companies, was just as hard to get into as any other place we've been. It's actually really annoying. Of course, at the time, we didn't know that the world was about to collapse. I know, I know, it didn't actually collapse, but I think its been closer than anyone would've liked. NASA oversees the Kennedy Space Flight Center at Cape Canaveral, the Johnson Space Flight Center in Houston and the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. In Huntsville, Karen and I saw America's space achievements as a single, unified movement. We visited Twickenham, Huntsville's historical district. Before leaving Alabama, we went to Muscle Shoals. After the week in the Pacific, I spent another day in California before flying back to Memphis. I moved to Jackson, TN to work for a couple days, then headed to Nashville for New Year's Eve. Went back to club Play downtown. Haven't had that much fun on New Year's in many years. I made some friends, then headed to Alabama. I spent a week in Huntsville. Had some very good times in Huntsville, and wish I didn't have to leave. When I wrote my first entry in August, I couldn't have imagined the places this trip would take me.
